Azerbaijani National Transferred to Yerevan Hospital, Underwent Surgery

On April 24, Elvin Arif oglu Hibragimov, an Azerbaijani citizen who crossed the state border of Armenia, was admitted to Yerevan's "Erebuni" Medical Center as a detainee. This information was reported by the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.

Following a medical examination, it was determined that he required emergency medical intervention. As a result of an open surgery, a foreign body was removed from his stomach.

The patient is under constant supervision and care from doctors, and his condition is stable. All actions were carried out in close collaboration with the Ministries of Justice and Health of Armenia and the office of the Red Cross.

It is noteworthy that Elvin Ibrahimov crossed the border of the Republic of Armenia near the village of Barekamavan in Tavush Province on March 16, 2019, approximately between 1:00 and 1:30 AM. According to the documents found in his possession, he is a citizen of Azerbaijan. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the illegal crossing of the state border by Elvin Ibrahimov under Part 1 of Article 329 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
