Five Members of ‘My Step’ Movement Taken to Police
Five citizens have been taken to the police after white paint was used to erase graffiti reading #SutNikol on the streets of Yerevan. This information was provided to NEWS.am by the police.
The citizens were taken to the police for violating Article 172.2 of the Administrative Violations Code of Armenia, which pertains to violating the rules for using public places. They were released shortly after the administrative report was drawn up.
According to information from the media, the individuals taken to the police are members of the ‘My Step’ alliance.
It should be noted that on the morning of April 15, coordinators of the #SutNikol initiative, Konstantin Ter-Nakalyan, Narek Samsonyan, Arthur Danielyan, Vrej Sargsyan, and Ishkhan Khosrovyan, along with the operator providing live coverage, were taken to the Central Police Department and were released shortly thereafter.
From the morning onward, they, along with several other young people, were carrying out a campaign in Yerevan’s streets, covering the city with #SutNikol graffiti. On the previous day, April 18, a group of citizens had also roamed the streets of Yerevan, covering the #SutNikol writings with white paint.
