A Decree Has Been Signed Declaring April 24 as National Day of Remembrance for the Armenian Genocide in France
French President Emmanuel Macron has signed a decree declaring April 24 as the National Day of Remembrance for the Armenian Genocide in France. This was reported on the Facebook page of Frank Papazian, co-chair of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France.
Papazian published the decree along with his post. It consists of 3 articles.
It states that every year on April 24, the National Day of Remembrance for the Armenian Genocide will be observed in France. In addition, a memorial ceremony must be held annually in the capital, Paris. Similar events can also be organized in other regions.
