VIDEO: Pashinyan on the Topic of Transgender Issues

"I want to tell you that in 2015, the Armenian government, the conservative government, which calls itself the guardian of family values and traditional values, took the passport of RA citizen Vagharshak Martirosyan and issued him the passport of RA citizen Lilit Martirosyan. Moreover, the passport issued to Lilit Martirosyan states: Lilit Martirosyan, gender: male," said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today during a conversation with journalists at the Noragavit customs house, responding to a question regarding transgender individuals' right to speak in the National Assembly session hall.

The Prime Minister emphasized that at the moment the government issued that individual a passport, it also conferred upon him all the rights and responsibilities of an RA citizen.

"And today the Republicans... when I told them they are gay activists, they did not believe me; they cannot truly avoid such a status. And this is yet another proof. Whom are they accusing? Of what?" said Pashinyan.
