Oligarchs Have Paid Off and Returned to Armenia Unimpeded
The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports: "Several oligarchs with close ties to the former government, including Artak Sargsyan, Ashot Arsenyan, and Samvel Aleksanyan, have stated in a circle that they have paid the amounts expected of them regarding various criminal cases and can now return to Armenia unimpeded to engage in their businesses.
Following the Velvet Revolution, some oligarchs left Armenia out of fear that criminal cases might be initiated against them, potentially leading to their incarceration. However, many of them have now returned to Armenia, and very few have not yet managed to reach reconciliation with the new authorities."
