Tragic Incident in Nubarashen: Man Commits Suicide with Weapon Registered in His Name

Today, on March 22, a tragic incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 18:30, the police received a call reporting that a man's body was found in one of the apartments in the 10th building of the Nubarashen administrative district.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the police and investigators discovered the body of the 49-year-old homeowner, D. M. Beside the body, a 12-gauge hunting rifle of the "Walter" type was found. Preliminary information suggests that he committed suicide with this weapon.

As per G. Shamshyan's reports, the weapon was legal and was registered in his name just today. The cause of his suicide is believed to be the news from doctors informing him that he was suffering from an incurable disease, specifically cancer, and he took his life with the weapon he had just received.
