The leader of the "Citizen's Decision" party, Suren Sahakyan, wrote on his Facebook page:

"Since the question has been opened, let me make one more note about Artsakh... The issue of surrendering land is, of course, a public unanimity — it will not be surrendered, and the question is no longer relevant. Instead, what is relevant is the question of whether to participate in negotiations or not. The four-day clashes of 2016 elicited a clear response from the international community: the agreements of 1994 cannot be violated. The agreements of 1994 outline borders. Essentially, the world was saying that the borders that existed before April 1, 2016, must be restored. However, Armenia did not demand this because Serzh found that 'from a tactical or strategic perspective, one thousandth of the lands of Artsakh are useless territories.' What I am saying is that if there are negotiations, then at least the starting point should be the restoration of the borders that existed before 2016."
