Zohrap Mnatsakanyan's Visit to the U.S. Canceled: Our Ambassador in Washington is Not in a Good Position

According to the newspaper "Hraparak", sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have indicated that Washington has canceled Zohrap Mnatsakanyan's planned visit to the U.S., an effort that had been in the works for some time.

Our source mentions that the phone conversation between Bolton and Pashinyan played a significant role, during which Bolton asked whether the decision to send a mission to Syria was final and irrevocable, and a positive response was received.

Although the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is attempting to smooth out the situation through various channels, particularly by trying to secure an invitation for Mnatsakanyan to meet with Secretary of State Pompeo, these efforts have been in vain thus far.

"It is possible that the Armenian side will seek assistance from our lobbyists to organize this visit. Our ambassador in Washington is also not in a favorable position," our source stated.
