According to the "Hraparak" newspaper, an interesting situation has emerged in the Russia-Belarus tandem. If you noticed, there was no leak from the two-day negotiations between Putin and Lukashenko in Sochi. When asked by Batka how ready he is to unite with Russia, he responded with a single sentence: "As much as the peoples are ready," meaning "we are not ready," our source reported.

How long will this saga last, especially since the issue regarding the CSTO Secretary General also remains uncertain? "Well, now Lukashenko has started playing games with the West, and Putin is patiently waiting. Ahead are Belarusian elections, and it cannot be ruled out that, just like with Ukraine, Russia will sharply say it's either-or," the source added.

Belarusian CSTO Secretary General candidate Zas said that they can resolve the issue without consensus, without Armenia. "Such a thing is impossible—this would be a consensus 'pa belaruskі' adventure because even to resolve the issue without consensus requires consensus; the CSTO regulations demand this. This means that Armenia must give its consent for the issue to be resolved without it, and Armenia will never give such consent. By April, the matter will be clear.

By the way, the issue of changing the CSTO regulations is also being discussed, including unexpected resignations of the Secretary General and others. It is not ruled out that they may go down this path to resolve the issue."
