Pashinyan's Team and God's Servants Aren't on the Same Page: 'Fact'
According to the 'Fact' newspaper, the new authorities have begun a unique demarche against the clergy, as they associate church leaders with the old regime. The new leadership is making every effort to keep the church's servants under their 'thumb.'
Our sources claim that the authorities have instructed governors and loyal mayors to monitor the activities of priests in their regions 'under a magnifying glass,' particularly to prevent any potential illicit earnings.
Significantly, the church's servants themselves are not particularly favorable toward the revolutionary leaders. Moreover, it has been reported to the authorities that during the past parliamentary elections, the clergy mostly supported the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
