The Number of Citizens with Acute Respiratory Issues Has Decreased
In recent days, a stabilizing trend has been observed concerning the situation related to acute respiratory infections. As of February 16, it can be stated that the tendency toward stabilization continues. This information has been reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
Specifically, as of today, the number of hospitalized cases across the country's hospitals has decreased, with currently 702 patients suffering from acute respiratory infections, the majority of whom are still in the 0-5 age group. A total of 147 patients have been discharged from hospitals due to recovery, of which only 114 were from targeted children's hospitals in Yerevan.
A stabilizing trend is also seen in emergency calls related to acute respiratory infections, with 88 calls recorded. In terms of outpatient visits, 162 individuals have sought consultation with symptoms characteristic of acute respiratory infections.
To ensure the reliability of the presented data, the Ministry of Health has conducted visits to children’s hospitals in Yerevan, which further confirms the ongoing monitoring of the current situation and trends in development, as well as the continuous implementation of necessary measures already undertaken.
It should also be noted that the workload in children's hospitals is exacerbated by the outpatient services provided by the staff of inpatient facilities.
Regarding currently circulating pathogens in the republic, it is important to mention that according to the results of conducted laboratory tests, subtypes of Influenza A, H1N1, and H3N2 are circulating in the country.
