Improve the Underpasses, Otherwise We Will Reclaim the City's Property, Says Mayor
“Many underpasses have been sold, and they no longer belong to the community; they have owners. The owners have obligations stipulated in the contract that they must repair and fully resolve these issues. Unfortunately, they have not done so. I must again say that the previous authorities turned a blind eye to these circumstances,” said Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan in a conversation with journalists today.
The mayor mentioned that the new authorities have warned all underpass owners both verbally and in writing that they must fulfill their obligations.
“We have said, ‘Dear ones, if you do not fulfill your obligations, the community will reclaim its property.’ And everyone is already willing to carry out the work,” he noted.
