Video: Gas Stations Previously Cheated By Charging 1000 Drams, Not Anymore Says Prime Minister

“We are receiving various alerts from citizens that gas is being calculated by pressure, but it can have different volumes. Therefore, we say that gas should be measured in kilograms and the tax should be paid in kilograms,” said Prime Minister Pashinyan during today’s Cabinet meeting, noting that this change in tax obligations will not lead to any increase.

It should be noted that the government has decided to establish a new measurement unit for natural gas, replacing cubic meters with kilograms. According to the government, this change will allow consumers to avoid being deceived by sellers.

The corresponding decision was adopted today during the regular Cabinet meeting. For this purpose, the government has made amendments to the RA Tax Code.
