The member of the National Progress party, Lusine Haroyan, wrote on her Facebook page: “Prime Minister Pashinyan hastily announced on his Facebook page that entrepreneurs will pay 60,000 drams instead of 160,000 drams for fiscal cash register devices.

However, the Prime Minister wisely remained silent about a very important fact: the remaining 100,000 drams will be paid from the state budget, meaning it will again come from the pockets of our 'proud' citizens of Armenia, including those citizens who have no connection to entrepreneurship, yet somehow fall under this burden.

Moreover, this amount is paid to some private company (of course, one can’t doubt that some 'shrewd' Surik Khachatryan or Mid-East & Co., has long seized this greasy morsel and established a monopoly).

This isn’t even a bad dream anymore; this is déjà vu from our not-so-distant past.

Do you remember when the light and gas rates were set to rise yet again, the office of Robert Nazaryan would gather, and they would supposedly be doing us a huge favor by increasing us by only a part of the proposed price and saying we should be glad they didn’t raise it in full?

I don’t even find it necessary to discuss the legal aspect of this decision now, or why the state and the tax committee should be dependent on the goodwill of some individual; my question is different.

Mr. Pashinyan, have you asked us, the 'proud' citizens, whether we agree for you to do us favors at our expense?

Dear parliamentary factions, are you not concerned about these incomprehensible decisions one after another? No, you have more important matters at hand, sharing committee positions; you surely won’t let those slip from your hands, there are supplementary salary issues at stake.

The important thing is that the circuses are provided for, and the crowd is in ecstasy.”
