Chief of Kotayk Police and Head of Abovyan Division Dismissed
The Chief of the Kotayk Regional Police, Colonel Aram Hovhannisyan, and the Head of Abovyan Police Division, Hovhannes Martirosyan, have been dismissed from their positions by the order of the Chief of Police of Armenia, Valeriy Osipyan. This information was confirmed in a conversation with NEWS.am by the police, who stated that the dismissed police officers have been placed in personnel reserve.
The police did not elaborate on the reasons for the dismissals, mentioning that there are always personnel changes within their organization.
It is noteworthy that according to circulating reports in the media, the dismissals are linked to an armed incident that occurred near the "Partez" restaurant complex in Abovyan during the night of January 28 to 29.
