Russians Find This Incredible: Alexander Lapshin Surprised by Interaction with Shavarsh Kocharyan

Russian-Israeli blogger Alexander Lapshin unexpectedly met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Shavarsh Kocharyan, in one of Armenia's winter resorts, Tsakhkadzor. The meeting left an impression on the blogger. Later, he posted about it on his Facebook page.

“He is a very polite and intelligent person. For us Russians, it seems incredible that ministers and presidents can be easily met in a restaurant or at any public event. The police and special services do not block the streets of the city, and there are no security teams forming a cordon around them. You can meet a person in a café, approach them, and greet them,” Lapshin noted.

Lapshin also added that he was unaware of who his interlocutor was and shared with him the existing problems in the South Caucasus, to which Kocharyan simply smiled pleasantly in response. Afterwards, another high-ranking Armenian official approached them and introduced Lapshin and Kocharyan to each other.
