Member of the ‘National Progress’ party Lusine Haroyan wrote on her Facebook page: “Dear citizens, let us be demanding and not allow any illegalities.

According to Article 22, Clause 6 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on the Remuneration of Persons Holding Public Office and State Service Positions, a public servant is rewarded if his/her semi-annual performance evaluation or the conclusion given by the head of the public servant regarding the semi-annual report is positive, and he/she has worked for six months in that semi-annual period.

However, individuals who were awarded by governors have only been in public service for one or two months, which is less than the half-year required by law, constituting a clear violation of the law. We demand that the law-breaking governors be held accountable and that the damage caused to the state be fully restored.”
