The director of Yerevan's School 192 has been accused of receiving a bribe for a job offer and misusing the funds entrusted to her. A criminal case has been initiated and is being handled by the Investigative Committee, as reported by Aurora News citing a statement from the committee.
It has been revealed that the director of the G. Vardanian named School 192, having reached a preliminary agreement with a resident of Yerevan born in 1965, demanded and received a bribe of $1,500 in August 2013 to appoint her daughter as a teacher at the same school.
Furthermore, from April 2013 to May 2018, the same director hired an individual identified as A.G. for the positions of laboratory assistant and psychologist, despite the fact that A.G. did not actually attend work. Under her name, a salary amounting to 1,161,679 AMD was disbursed. Thus, the director is accused of misappropriating a total of 1,161,679 AMD that was entrusted to her.
