Heavy Rain and Winds Cause Damage in Gyumri
On August 16, starting from 16:33, the Shirak regional operational management center received reports of flooding in the basements, yard areas, broken tree branches, and tilted power poles in several locations in Gyumri due to strong winds and heavy rain.
Emergency response teams and operational groups from the Ministry of Emergencies' regional rescue department were dispatched to the scene. The rescuers, responding quickly to all incidents, carried out work to delineate affected areas, pumped out around 85 cubic meters of water from basements and yard areas, and undertook the cutting and removal of broken branches.
