482 Intoxicated Drivers Detected in One Week

From August 3 to 10, during operations in the capital, Yerevan police identified 4,631 violations of traffic rules, moving 238 vehicles to designated areas. Specifically, 170 drivers were found to be intoxicated, and 115 individuals were found driving without a license. Additional violations included 77 related to registration plates, 888 for not wearing seat belts, 41 for driving without child safety seats, 629 for smoking while driving, 306 for using mobile phones while driving, 41 for pedestrians crossing at non-designated places, and 1,561 other violations.

Moreover, 30 vehicles were operated without insurance, 112 lacked technical inspections, 127 had malfunctioning headlights, and 51 had tinted windshields and side windows. In addition, 89 individuals were arrested and taken to Community Police Departments for various suspicions.

During the same period, police in the regions detected 15,456 traffic violations while moving 237 vehicles to designated areas. A total of 312 intoxicated drivers and 364 individuals without a driver's license were identified. Other violations included 62 related to registration plates, 4,202 for not wearing seat belts, 317 for driving without child safety seats, 496 for smoking while driving, 736 for using mobile phones while driving, 74 for pedestrians crossing at non-designated places, 2,635 for speeding, and 4,779 other violations.

Additionally, 87 vehicles were operated without insurance, 745 lacked technical inspections, 492 had malfunctioning headlights, and 134 had tinted windshields and side windows. 22 drivers were fined for using non-compliant amplifiers while driving. Furthermore, 47 individuals were arrested and taken to Community Police territorial divisions for various suspicions.
