Firearms, Knives, Drugs: Large Operation Nationwide, 425 Individuals Detained

The prevention of criminal manifestations through the monitoring of potential hotspots and the discovery of illegal weapons and drugs is being executed with targeted countermeasures. The officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' police continue to carry out special operations throughout the Republic with the same determination.

From July 22 to 31 alone, the police officers conducted visits at around thirty gathering places across various localities. As a result of targeted efforts, 425 individuals with prior convictions and criminal tendencies were transferred to community police departments. Additionally, individuals wanted by law enforcement have also been apprehended.

During these special operations, combat and gas pistols, rifles, cold weapons, knives, and various types of drugs were discovered and confiscated. The Ministry of Internal Affairs Police will continue operational-preventive measures to ensure public order and safety.
