The Coalition of the Willing Slowly Loses Influence: Telegraph
The Telegraph reports that the so-called “Coalition of the Willing,” formed to support Ukraine, is gradually losing its influence due to a lack of clear leadership.
According to the publication, the new British Prime Minister Andy Burnham is primarily focused on domestic politics, while French President Emmanuel Macron will be unable to participate in the presidential elections in 2027, resulting in the coalition facing a “leadership vacuum.”
The “Coalition of the Willing” was established in the spring of 2025 and unites over 30 countries, primarily European nations. It is led by the United Kingdom and France, with the aim of developing security guarantees for Ukraine, including the potential deployment of a military mission after the conflict ends.
Earlier, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the “Coalition of the Willing” seeks not peace, but a continuation of war, mistakenly believing that it is possible to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.
