Staff Changes Expected in the Ministry of Internal Affairs
The newspaper "Jraparak" reports: "According to the newspaper's information, for about a month now, Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan has been touring the provinces and summarizing the results of the operations of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the first half of 2026.
Based on our sources, the minister’s visits to various territorial and unit divisions of the police could be critical for many officials. According to our information, following the completion of these summaries, there will inevitably be personnel changes and dismissals within the system.
After one of the regional visits, the Police Chief of Kotayk Province was already dismissed; however, according to our information, this process will not be limited to just these changes. It will become clear which heads of departments will subsequently leave their posts after the summaries are finished," the article states.
