Shushan Aleksanyan Clarifies Statements Regarding Haypost Activities
Following the discussions that took place in the National Assembly, I find it necessary to present clarifications regarding the activities of Haypost CJSC and questions related to my position. I hope the presented facts will help eliminate the misconceptions surrounding the topic. This was stated on Facebook by Shushan Aleksanyan, the wife of MP Hayk Konjoryan from the Civil Contract party.
1. During my leadership, Haypost paid 1 billion AMD in dividends to the state budget (reference: Government of Armenia decision No. 2141-A dated December 23, 2021).
2. Based on the results of 2025, the company did not incur losses. The ratio of income to expenses (the company’s EBITDA) was positive. The negative indicator of around 500 million AMD was due to depreciation, which is a normal phenomenon for organizations with large real estate and vehicle fleets. It is also important to emphasize that depreciation is not a cash outflow, hence neither the company nor the state has actually suffered financial losses (reference: published report from an external audit).
3. According to the published financial reports, under my leadership, the company’s financial result in 2025 improved by about 900 million AMD compared to 2024 (reference: published report from an external audit).
4. I am the director who has received the lowest salary and compensation at Haypost in at least the last 10 years. In previous years, even heads of separate subdivisions received higher compensation than I do today as the CEO, including during state management periods. Although I have repeatedly stated that there is nothing wrong with receiving a high salary.
5. The approximately 5 million AMD paid to me in 2024, which was presented in my declaration as “other income,” is a maternity benefit established by law.
6. I find it necessary to remind that I assumed the responsibilities of CEO of Haypost on November 22, 2024. Therefore, it is not objectively possible to bear responsibility for the annual financial indicators of 2024 or preceding processes (such as rate revisions, etc.).
I urge everyone to refrain from arbitrary interpretations of the facts and to consider the issues exclusively in a professional domain,” wrote Shushan Aleksanyan.
