Russia-Ukraine Dispute Centers Around Just a Few Kilometers, Says Peskov
Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, has stated that for Russia, reaching the objectives set in the direction of Donetsk requires 'passing a small distance.' According to his formulation, this refers to 'counted kilometers' necessary to access the administrative borders of the Donetsk region (DPR).
The Kremlin representative noted that currently, approximately 18% of the area remains outside the control of Russian armed forces. This observation by Peskov was made in response to U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance's assertion that the negotiation process surrounding the Ukrainian conflict is now focused on a dispute over merely a few square kilometers of territory.
At the same time, the President's spokesperson added that military operations would continue after the end of the Easter truce. According to an official statement, Russia intends to pursue the special military operation until all designated objectives are accomplished.
