Avinyan on Delays of Trolleybuses Due to Situation in Iran
The delivery of 45 trolleybuses intended for Yerevan will be slightly delayed due to the situation created in Iran. This was announced by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during the government meeting on April 9.
According to him, the trolleybuses are expected to arrive in Yerevan by mid-May as part of the transport improvement programs.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, addressing the condition of public transport in the capital, emphasized the importance of the construction project for the "Ajapnyak" metro station, noting that no new metro station has been built and put into operation in Armenia over the past 30 years. He stated that the project is large, but it will be realized.
Pashinyan also mentioned that the strategic goal is to make the metro circular, which will change the logic of traffic flow and increase its efficiency.
