Created by Artificial Intelligence: New Law
‘Created by Artificial Intelligence’ — A short while ago, the National Assembly adopted a law requiring audiovisual media service providers to label synthetic content created with artificial intelligence (AI) or other digital solutions with a special visible label. This is a mandatory requirement of the law, aimed at granting consumers the ability to clearly distinguish between non-real material generated by technological tools and actual content. This was announced on Facebook by Minister of High-Tech Industry Mikayel Hayrapetyan.
‘In case of violation of the established requirements, an administrative fine is expected for the broadcaster, amounting to 300 times the minimum wage. In the case of radio broadcasts, it is mandatory to declare the use of AI tools at the beginning and end of the broadcast.’ Hayrapetyan noted that 67 deputies voted in favor of the draft law, with 0 against and 6 abstentions.
