Ursula von der Leyen States When the EU Can Send Ships to the Strait of Hormuz
The European Union can only send ships to the Strait of Hormuz after the end of military operations by the United States and Israel against Iran. This was stated by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, as reported by TASS.
In response to a question regarding the possible participation of European countries in ensuring safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, von der Leyen did not rule out the possibility of such a move in the future.
“EU leaders have made it clear that the option of action or a mission can only be considered after military operations have concluded,” she noted.
