Detained for Taking Photos Against the Background of Artsakh: Roman Yeritsyan
“A few days ago, three individuals from Artsakh visited the Kornidzor community and took pictures against the backdrop of the Hakari Bridge and Artsakh. The reason was to relish their longing. On their way back, they were stopped by security service agents, effectively deprived of their freedom, their phones were confiscated, and they were denied the opportunity to contact a lawyer,” lawyer Roman Yeritsyan recounted during a Facebook live session.
According to him, about 1-2 hours later, the young men were taken to the police department, where, in response to their explanation that they had gone to satisfy their longing, the deputy police chief said: “Go, surrender, return home, and satisfy your longing.”
