Man Killed Near Trump Property Identified as 21-Year-Old Artist
On the night of February 22, a heavily armed man who entered a secure area near Mar-a-Lago, the Florida residence of former U.S. President Donald Trump, was shot by secret service agents. He has been identified as 21-year-old artist Austin Tucker Martin from Cameron, North Carolina. His identity was revealed by American media based on a statement from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office and reports from the deceased's family.
The press release from law enforcement indicated that on Sunday evening, a relative of Martin reported him missing since Saturday evening, after which he was added to the national missing persons database. Subsequently, federal authorities informed the sheriff's office about an 'active investigation regarding Martin in Florida.'
'At their request, information regarding the missing person's case was provided to federal investigators. The Moore County Sheriff’s Office had not had any prior dealings with Martin before the report of him being missing. Any inquiries regarding the shooting or related investigative actions should be directed to the FBI Miami office and the U.S. Secret Service,' the sheriff's office stated.
