Meghri and Vardenyats Passes Closed: Traffic Situation on Roads
As of February 11 at 9:00 AM, all interstate and republican roads in Armenia are open. This information was provided by the Road Department. However, due to adverse weather conditions, including heavy snowfall and lack of visibility, roads are periodically closed for safety reasons.
The Tigranashen-Zangakatun road, the stretch from the Jermuk intersection to Kapan, and the Jujavan-Voskepar-Baghkhanis roads are closed for vehicles with trailers. The M-3 section passing through Aparan and the Spitak bends are impassable for vehicles with trailers. The Gndevaz-Jermuk road is closed for all types of vehicles.
Snow is falling in the regions of Abovyan, Hrazdan, Sevan, Gavar, Martuni, Chambarak, Dilijan, Ijevan, Noyemberyan, Tashir, Ashtarak, Aparan, Aragats, Spitak, Vanadzor, Stepanavan, Ararat, Yeghegnadzor, Vayk, Sisian, Goris, Kapan, Meghri, Talin, Ani, Artik, Achuik, Ashotk and Ejmiatsin, as well as in the Baghramyan region.
