Pope Francis has called for an end to the war in Ukraine. He stated, “The ongoing attacks by Russia on Ukraine leave the civilian population defenseless against the winter cold. Prolonged battles... are having increasingly serious consequences for the civilian population. I urge everyone to intensify efforts to end this war,” Reuters quotes Pope Francis's words.
