Syunik to Have Real Security Assurance Mechanisms: Davit Danielyan
Many questions arise in Syunik regarding the implementation of the project "Trump's Road for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIP). I have highlighted several key points that provide answers to the most frequently asked questions. This was stated by Davit Danielyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" faction.
74% of the shares of the TRIP development company will belong to the United States, while 26% will be held by Armenia. This ratio is due to the anticipated investments that will be made by the United States.
Armenia's sovereignty and authority over border and customs operations are absolute and undisputable. It is expected that all border and customs activities will be carried out in accordance with internationally recognized standards of border management, adhering to the principles of the August 8 declaration, utilizing the "front office - back office" operational model.
The Republic of Armenia grants the TRIP development company the right to manage the construction of railway infrastructure, energy infrastructure, digital infrastructure, fiber-optic networks, and supporting infrastructures.
If the planned program is implemented, Syunik will have real mechanisms for security assurance, backed by clear international guarantees.
