Venezuela's Natural Resources Belong to Its People, Says Spain's Foreign Minister
“Natural resources are part of the sovereignty of the state. Venezuela’s resources belong to the people of Venezuela,” stated Spain’s Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares.
He described the actions of the United States as a “very dangerous precedent for a rules-based global order.” The official emphasized that Spain is prepared to support the resolution of the situation.
Earlier, it was announced that Venezuela would “transfer” 30-50 million barrels of oil to the United States, which is subject to sanctions. This was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.
