Attack on Putin's Residence is a Global Security Threat, Says Pakistan's Prime Minister
Pakistan condemns the reported attack on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, announced by Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
“Such a despicable act poses a serious threat to peace, security, and stability, especially at a time when efforts are being made to achieve peace,” he wrote on social media.
Shehbaz emphasized that Pakistan expresses its solidarity with the President of the Russian Federation, the government, and the people of Russia.
“We reaffirm our firm rejection of all forms of violence and actions that undermine security and threaten peace,” he added.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Kyiv had carried out a terrorist attack on the presidential residence located in the Nizhny Novgorod region on the night of December 29, using 91 drones. All drones were destroyed by air defense forces, and there were no reports of casualties.
According to the minister, Russia does not intend to withdraw from the negotiation process with the United States following the terrorist attack on the presidential residence by the Kyiv regime. However, he noted that Russia's negotiating position would be reviewed.
