The Ministry of Internal Affairs Issues a Warning Statement Regarding the Process of Obtaining a Driver's License
The only legal way to obtain a driver's license is to pass the relevant examinations at the registration-examination division.
Despite the periodic warnings from the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding various fraud schemes, some citizens continue to believe in offers to acquire a driver's license quickly and through supposedly legal means.
A citizen approached the Shengavit division of community police, reporting that believing a statement circulated on social media, they transferred about 500,000 drams to an unknown person to obtain a driver's license, but ultimately did not receive the license.
The citizen, trusting the legality of the announcement, visited the registration-examination division, made the required payments, and sent receipts to the scammer via WhatsApp, transferring the demanded amount through a QR code provided by the scammer.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs once again urges citizens to be cautious and vigilant on social media and not to believe in quick and easy opportunities to obtain any legal document. A driver's license can only be obtained through legal means.
