Iran Appeals to UN and IAEA Director to Condemn the US and Israel
Iran has called on UN member states and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to condemn the attacks on its nuclear facilities during the 12-day war. This was announced by the spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baghaei, at a press conference.
“Iran is a member of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), has fulfilled its obligations, and the most inspections have been conducted right in our country. Therefore, there is no basis for the emergence of any crisis,” said Baghaei.
Actions taken against Iran's nuclear facilities by Israel and the United States have yet to be condemned. “UN member states and the IAEA Director General must issue condemning statements and take action,” he added.
