Kyiv Will Return 90 Billion Euros Only If Russia Pays Appropriate Compensation: Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Kyiv will only return the European Union's loan of 90 billion euros allocated for 2026-2027 if Russia pays appropriate compensation. He made this statement during a joint press conference in Kyiv with Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro.
“We have received 90 billion euros for 2026-2027. And you know that we expect to utilize all 210 billion euros of Russian assets. Therefore, Kyiv will return those 90 billion euros in zero-interest loans only if Russia pays appropriate compensation to Ukraine,” stated President Zelensky.
