Earthquake Near the City of Jermuk
On December 8, 2025, at 14:35 local time (10:35 GMT), a 2.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded by the seismic monitoring network of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia in the Armenia-Azerbaijan border zone, 13 kilometers northeast of the city of Jermuk, at a depth of 10 kilometers. The emergency services informed about this occurrence.
The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral area was measured at 2-3 on the seismic scale. The earthquake was felt in the city of Jermuk and in the villages of Kecut and Gndevaz, with an intensity of 1-2.
