13-Year-Old Armenian Chess Player Becomes European Rapid Chess Champion
According to the Armenian Chess Federation, 13-year-old Armenian chess player Tigran Hambardzumyan has been crowned champion of the open rapid chess tournament held as part of the European Championship for Youth and Girls.
It is noteworthy that the tournament featured 288 chess players from 40 countries, without age restrictions. Tigran scored 8 points out of a possible 9.
