UEFA Decision: Tigran Barseghyan Suspended for Three Matches
The captain of the Armenian national team, Tigran Barseghyan, has been suspended for three matches following a red card received during the World Cup qualifying match against Ireland, which took place on October 14 in Dublin. UEFA officially informed the Football Federation of Armenia about the suspension.
It is noteworthy that Barseghyan struck an opponent during the 52nd minute of the match against the Irish and was sent off the field. As a result, Barseghyan will miss not only the qualifying matches scheduled for November against Hungary and Portugal but also the next official game, as friendly matches do not count towards the suspension period.
