Strong Winds Cause Damage in Yerevan, Affecting Trees and Rooftops
On October 26, powerful winds in Yerevan caused material damage, prompting rescue teams to carry out recovery operations.
Starting from 15:55 on October 26, the National Crisis Management Center received multiple reports from various parts of Yerevan regarding damage caused by the wind. Emergency response teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, including fire and rescue units, as well as a special rescue group, were dispatched to the affected areas.
The rescuers responded to all notifications by clearing broken branches from trees, delineating affected areas, and dismantling or reinforcing loose sheet metal from buildings' rooftops. It was noted that these operations successfully prevented further damage and dangers for citizens and passersby.
