Vitkof's Demand from Ukraine: Pressure on Zelensky to Intensify

The special representative of the U.S. President, Steven Vitkof, has demanded that Ukraine relinquish territories controlled by Kyiv in the Donetsk People's Republic, as reported by The Washington Post (WP).

According to the publication, Vitkof exerted pressure on the Ukrainian delegation during negotiations with President Vladimir Zelensky.

The newspaper states that Moscow has been conducting a special military operation since February 24, 2022. That autumn, the DPR, LPR, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions became part of Russia.

It is also noteworthy that DPR leader Denis Pushilin had previously announced that the Russian army is engaged in urban battles in Severodonetsk and is approaching Krasny Liman.
