Prosecutor's Office on Controversial Recording: 'Haykakan Zhamanak'

The Armenian Prosecutor's Office has announced that the recording circulating on the internet will be subject to investigation within the framework of a legal case. This was reported by 'Haykakan Zhamanak'.

It is recalled that a recording of a conversation from October 2023 between Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan and the former bearer of the scepter of Garegin II, Abbot Aghan Yernjakyan, has surfaced online. The content of the recording suggests that Garegin II forced clergy members to participate in anti-government protests, against which some clergy members rebelled.
