Criminal Kills Two in Zovashen After Murdering Spouses in Aramus
On October 12, 2025, the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia received a report regarding the discovery of two bodies in the fields of Aramus village, which had sustained gunshot wounds.
Subsequent actions taken in cooperation with police staff resulted in evidence indicating that on October 12, 2025, during a dispute over domestic issues near a field road from Aramus village to Nor Gyugh, T.H. fired shots from his smoothbore gun towards M.S. and G.Q., residents of the same village, resulting in their deaths.
Following the incident, operational information was received by the Kotayk Regional Police Department indicating that T.H., immediately after committing the apparent crime, fired shots with his gun towards V.M. and M.H. on a field road in Zovashen village, killing them as well. Immediately thereafter, T.H. seized V.M.'s vehicle.
On the same day, T.H. was apprehended by Ministry of Internal Affairs officers under reasonable suspicion of having committed the aforementioned crimes and was presented to the investigative body, where he provided a confession. A decision was made to consolidate the criminal proceedings into a single case, and an investigative group was established.
The smoothbore gun belonging to T.H. was found in the vehicle he had stolen. T.H. has been subjected to public criminal prosecution under Article 155, Part 1 (murder) (2 counts), Article 155, Part 2, Subsections 10 and 13 (murder carried out with the aim of concealing another crime or facilitating its commission for gain) (2 counts), and Article 252, Part 2, Clause 7 (robbery of substantial value). The investigation into the criminal proceedings is ongoing.
