Another Citizen of Georgia Arrested in Armenia
Another citizen of Georgia, who fought in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and was on an international wanted list by Russia, has been arrested in Armenia. This information was confirmed in a conversation with Sputnik by the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Vano Sabashvili was apprehended at the beginning of September when he entered Armenia from Georgia, and was later detained by a court decision. He had previously been convicted by a DNR court for participating in military operations on the Ukrainian side and sentenced to imprisonment in absentia.
The Armenian Prosecutor General's Office is currently making a decision regarding his extradition. It is worth noting that at the beginning of September, Armenian law enforcement also arrested Giorgi Kinoian, who was wanted by Russia as a mercenary.
