The Idea of Peace Will Be the Only Election Argument for the CP: Artak Zakaryan
The continuously repeated word "humility" is merely a means to bring about disastrous calamities and remain unpunished. This was stated by Artak Zakaryan, a member of the Republican Party of Armenia’s (RPA) governing body.
"On the other hand, the word 'peace,' which is perhaps raw and de jure distant from reality, is a convenient theme for deceiving the people again. This encompasses the entire 'political' content of the CP conference. There was no pride, no accomplishment, no vision for a real future, and no concrete plans in Nikol's 'emotional' speech. It was a fireworks display of imaginary, mythical, fictitious values and a sick imagination against a backdrop of disastrous reality.
The incessantly repeated term 'to humble' reflects Nikol's consciousness of his own mistakes and destructive sins. The CP is 'humbling' itself because over 5000 boys lost their lives due to its erroneous policies. It is 'humbling' itself because, as a result of its conspiracies, 12,000 square kilometers of territory were lost in Artsakh (almost one third of Armenia). It is 'humbling' itself because its members will be remembered in history as national destroyers and capitulators.
The still incomplete and unestablished process of 'selling' the idea of peace will be the only electoral argument of the CP. Immediately after the change of power in 2018, for about a year (2018-19), the Nikol's administration spoke from every podium about how 'it is good that after the revolution, the gunfire on the borders of Artsakh and Armenia has stopped.' Then we saw what happened.
Now, they have started yelling about definitive peace without explaining to people that at any moment it can turn into a large-scale regional conflict. The conflicts in the region are not resolved, including the severe contradictions surrounding communications. The peace agreement has neither been signed nor ratified, and it is still unclear whether it will be or not.
With a high emotional tone and his characteristic resonant voice, Nikol today created the impression that he has solutions for the future. Upon coolly judging and listening carefully, one can be convinced that he has no ideas or plans to offer the Armenian people. There was only one goal, to amplify the emotional backdrop and deceive at any cost to extract votes for the next session of parliament.
The election has commenced, and this fraudulent process can only be brought back to reality through impeachment," he wrote.
