Head of Culture Department Receives Warning: 'Gyumri Day' Will Take Place, Says Ghukasyan
This year, just like every year, 'Gyumri Day' will be held in its traditional form, announced the Mayor of Gyumri, Vardan Ghukasyan.
'The circulating rumors and speculations that the celebration will not take place, or that there are other reasons not to celebrate, do not correspond to reality. Some issues related to the holiday have been temporarily postponed only because the Culture Department of the City Hall has not submitted a complete financial report. The head of the Culture Department has already received a warning.'
Taking into account the expectations of the residents and the traditions, the holiday will definitely take place, and the city will celebrate 'Gyumri Day' with its traditional festivities,' the Mayor of Gyumri wrote.
Earlier, the Gyumri City Hall also released a statement regarding 'Gyumri Day.'
