Russia's Interior Ministry Prevents Attempt to Disrupt Elections from Abroad
The Interior Ministry has thwarted an attempt by opposition forces abroad to disrupt elections in Russia. This was announced by Lenar Gabdrakhmanov, head of the Public Order Protection Department of the Russian Interior Ministry.
“Opposition forces from abroad called on their few supporters to simultaneously come to polling stations, intending to create queues both at the entrance and at the ballot boxes. They planned to film all of this and post it on the internet with comments about the authorities’ inability to organize the elections. Thanks to preventive measures, all calls went unfulfilled,” he stated.
