Hungary's Foreign Minister Calls EU Countries Two-Faced
Hungary's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has accused European countries of hypocrisy for purchasing Russian oil and gas through third countries while simultaneously criticizing Budapest. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
"We are openly buying resources from Russia. What are the other Europeans doing? They criticize us, but they buy Russian oil from Asian countries. This is extreme hypocrisy," he added.
According to the minister, the same situation applies to gas. "Russian gas sales to Europe are breaking records. We are told, 'We are not buying Russian gas, it's Asian.' A typical hypocrisy. The same goes for their attitude towards China. They publicly scold them, but behind the scenes, they're conducting business," stated Hungary's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.
